This captivating set was marketed as a teapot, pancake batter pitcher, and syrup server on a tray. Another guess might be teapot, water pitcher and milk server, but the pancake batter theory is much more interesting. The set is hand-painted and was “made in Japan” by the Tashiro Shoten Ltd., Nagoya ceramic company. According “justanswer.com” the use of the word “Shoten” indicates the name of a shop which sells products from its own kilns. It likely dates between the end of World War II and 1954.
